I am a wife, a mother of dogs, a strong woman, a ball of creativity looking for new outlets, and cooking is one of my favorite hobbies. I started this blog fall of 2013, left it for dead on the side of the road, then decided to pick it up again with a new purpose. That purpose is to broadcast my ramblings which mostly revolve around my pursuit of a healthier lifestyle. And dogs.
I promote clean eating, home-cooked meals, and exercise. I [attempt] to throw some humor in with my writing which is what I feel sets me apart from most food blogs. Cooking should be fun and it should be something you look forward to rather than dread.
If you could not tell by my blog name, I’m a clinical pharmacist so you will see many science-y references. Since I am very anti-pharmaceutical industry (ironic, I know), I do use my super powers for good. The whole one-pill-for-every-ailment philosophy deeply bothers me and the high rate at which people are resorting to these pills can be prevented with making healthier decisions now. I am on a mission to prove to you that healthy and tasty are not mutually exclusive.
Human beings live longer today than ever before in history, but this comes at a price. We spend almost half of our of lives living with comorbidities. I want to change that.
